I recently had the pleasure of working with the folks at the Funky Umbrella, who commissioned me to do two images to be used as posters for a local band called the Danberrys.

Thanks to AD David Victor for the opportunity.

Below is one of the two images. More to come later.

I’ve always loved drawing letters and numbers, so when I found out about Nate Williams’ Letter Playground blog, I had to start participating. It’s free to join, and you can see a lot of interesting typography made by a wide variety of folks. Go take a look and join in.

Another version of a concept I’ve done before. This one definitely fits my current body of work better than past versions.

The month of August was a busy one. I had the pleasure of working with Alex Pearson at his studio Familytree for the month. Among other jobs, he asked me to create an Illustration for an article about a company called AirPlay Direct in the annual Nashville Arts and Entertainment magazine. It was a fun project to work on, and my time with Alex was very productive.

Below is the original color choice, but as you can see, a slightly darker version was chosen for the final.
